Extraordinary Antique Sculptural Bronze Passionist Jesu XPI Passio Medal with a unique, almost Rose Gold tone. On the front is an image of Christ carrying the Cross with his hand pointing to his eternal flaming Sacred Heart. In raised relief letters is the Latin text "Cor Jesu inflamma cor nostrum amore." (Heart of Jesus, inflame my Heart with the love of Thee.) On the back is the Passionist emblem consisting of a heart with three nails at the bottom and the cross at the top. The heart is encircled by the crown of thorns and flanking the cross are two instruments of the Passion—Holy Sponge set on a reed, with which gall and vinegar were offered to Jesus and a Holy Lance with which a Roman soldier inflicted the final of the Five Wounds in his side. Emblazoned on the heart are the words, "Jesu XPI Passio" which mean: "the Passion of Jesus Christ."
Antique Round French Flaming Sacred Heart Medal with an image of the Crucifixion on the back - this also has a lovely almost Rose Gold tone to it (all of the elements of this necklace does). On the front is "Our Reparation au Coeur de Jesus" (Our Reparation of the Heart of Jesus) and on the reverse is: "Arch Conference de la Garde d"honneur de Sacre Coeur" (Arch Conference of the Sacred Heart Guard) - a lovely old piece!
