I Dewa Made Oka Wiri (often signed as Dw. Md. Oka) was from Pengosekan, Ubud, Bali. Born in 1926, he passed away in 2018 at the age of 92. Known for his fine detail and muted color palettes, he frequently utilized earthy, sepia-like tones in pencil, ink and acrylic. His works interpret traditional Balinese folklore, and this may be the depiction of the mythological Barong Landung with the Dragon and Queen.
This piece is incredibly and finely detailed - the edges are natural canvas and it will require framing. There are some marks on the back but it in no way detracts from the front painting. His signature is clearly seen.
Measurements are 23 3/4 inches tall by 33 inches wide - for the painting only and does not include unpainted canvas edges
