The founders were Saint Thérèse Couderc and diocesan priest Jean-Pierre Etienne Terme. The Cenacle Sisters worldwide wear a simple cross with “I came to cast fire upon the earth. Luke 12:49” engraved on the back. They are committed to "accompanying you on your faith journey so that together with the Holy Spirit, we can contribute to the transformation of the world one heart at a time."
The Cross has 2 raised relief flaming Sacred Hearts on the front and on the back is engraved: "Ignem veni mittere in terram, et quid volo nisi ut accendatur" (literally translated means 'I have come to send fire to the earth, and what do I want but to be kindled!')
