Amazing Antique French Marian - note the incredible details on both sides! The inscription on the front is "Processio Solemnis Gand XX MAII MDCCCLV" ("Mass procession of Ghent, 20 MAY 1855 ') and on the reverse is "Conceptio Immaculata BMV VIII DEC MDCCCLIV" (The Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary 8 DEC 1854)...a truly special piece of religious history! (Please note any "greenish" tones in photos 3 and 4 are reflections of the forest outside my windows- the medal is a beautiful rich gold!)
