I purchased this unique cuff from one of my contacts in France many years ago; it is a mysterious and artistic piece with multiple engravings, textures and dimensions. It has an eight pointed star in the center with engraved borders and designs throughout....the tops and sides are a hammered finish and it is in excellent condition. Any spots or other marks are just reflections form the many dimensional surfaces of the cuff. There are what appear to be sterling punches in 3 places.
The eight pointed star has multi cultural and biblical symbolism. In the bible, it symbolizes the restitution of the original harmony between God and humanity brought about by the incarnation of God through Mother Mary and the redemption of our Souls. The number eight symbolizes salvation and its meaning is derived from Gen 6,18: eight people escaped the deluge finding salvation in the ark (see also 1 Peter 3.20).
Unique Antique Medal with a raised relief central star and rays emanating outward with "Due Ella te Cuie" (In Spanish meaning "Because She took Care of You" - it has a detailed border and an unusual shape - a special and rare medal!

Rare Antique Silver intricately Monogrammed 25 Year Medal - in raised relief it says "Fac et Spero" (In Latin meaning "Act and Hope") It is dated for 1873 to 1898 and "1st Mayo - for May 1st. An amazing medal!
