RARE Antique German Medal with a crisply detailed image of the Tunic of Christ and "Der Hock Aber War Ungenaret von Oben an Gewirket Durch und Durch" a reference to John 19:23 (When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier; also his tunic. But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom) literally meaning "But the skirt was untreated from above, worked through and through". On the back is the reference of John the Evangelist and "K.XIX V. 23" meaning John the Evangelist, chapter 1019 verse 23, and "Erinnerung ad Ausstellung DHl Hockes" (Remembrance of the exhibition of the Skirt). It is marked 1891!
