I have had this amazing photographic art piece in my collection for decades; it is a vintage (I would guess 1940's to 1960's) 2 photograph layout of a nun holding a rosary in two beatific poses - you can see the beauty in her hands and the folds in her habit.
The brief is shown on the back with the photographer's name (it looks like Don Saundor), and the instructor's name (C.K. Eaton - see note on well known instructor Eaton below). The frame is a distressed finish with no glass to avoid any interaction with the images under glass. There is also some kind of finish on the piece and a distressed painted mat. I noted the dust on the images and I will wipe with a dry cloth and wrap carefully for shipping - it is not the photograph
The Frame measures 18 by 15 inches at longest and widest points, and the inner measurement is 13 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches.
Art Center College of Design was founded in 1930 in downtown Los Angeles as the Art Center School. In 1935, Fred Archer founded the photography department, and Ansel Adams was a guest instructor in the late 1930s.
The last image shows renowned Photography instructor C. K. Eaton circa 1950 and an unidentified student standing next to a ladder looking at a camera lens held by Eaton.
In summary this a beautiful and inspiring piece of photographic art!
